For quite some time, I've been thinking about what to do with this space. I know I want to keep it for now. The blog didn't develop in the way I intended and I'm not surprised. That's how it usually goes. I won't give any I'm gonnas and will just talk Crewcuts today. The next update will be whatever it is.
Someone asked if I buy Crewcuts for Mini G. She's average to small and I'm not sure how she'll grow. Therefore, I've been reluctant to buy too far in advance. One of the first things I purchased at about 12 months was a t-shirt in size 2 that she wears as a tunic w/leggings. It's from the Factory/Crewlet and it's wearing very well. I expect it might last long enough for her to wear it as a true t-shirt. I also bought her a jacket that was too cute and too good of a price. It's a basic cotton jacket so it won't matter if she fits it this spring or this fall. And I bought her a basic black cardigan, which is soooo cute. Also from Factory.
Most retailers sell the usual pink fare for her age, so I think I'll be looking to Crewcuts for more sophisticated color options if needed. I'm learning about the clothing thing in general. There are certain things we won't be buying. Not only does Mini want to pick on her clothing, undo her shoes, etc...a kid came up and gave her a hug when she was wearing an Elmo shirt, pre-scandal of course. I didn't realize kids would react to clothing like that on another, duh. Now I see that I might not want to put her in things with bows on them or glitter because some other little munchkin might get really excited about it.
While looking at Crewcuts, I've noticed how many pieces are similar to the ladies' gear. I suppose future Mini G might cringe when looking at the digital pics, but for now I have no problem dressing us a little alike on occasion. I keep her dressed more like a little girl than a mini me. A few of these would be fun to mix in with her Old Navy & Gap staples.

I've recently started buying my mini Crewcuts. She's tall for 19 months, but really lean, so I find that size 2 fits her perfectly now. I will admit to being super excited about being able to post on my IG a pic of me and mini in matching retro jade tops! ;)
